JSON and XML diff

Runs only in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.

Paste two JSON or XML documents to see what is different. Formatting and key order are ignored, so only real changes show up.

Differences

How documents are compared

Both documents are parsed first, so whitespace, indentation and the order of keys or attributes do not count. Each difference is shown with its path, for example $.customer.country.

With Ignore array order, arrays are compared as lists of items. Items found on both sides are matched, and the rest are reported under [*].

XML is compared by structure: attributes appear as @name and element text as #text. Values are compared as text, so 007 and 7 are different.
