Base64 and URL encoder and decoder

Encode and decode Base64, Base64URL and URL-encoded text. Text is handled as UTF-8, so æ, ø, å and emoji survive the round trip.
Result
Which type to choose
- Base64 is used for Basic auth headers, file content in JSON and many API fields.
- Base64URL replaces
+and/with-and_and drops the padding. JWTs use it. Decoding accepts both kinds. - URL component encodes everything that is not safe in a query value, including
&,=and/. - Whole URL keeps the characters that give a URL its structure, such as
:,/,?and&.
If decoded Base64 is not text, for example an image or a zip file, the bytes are shown as hex.
